Unga Limited first manufactured animal feeds in the late 1940’s. A separate company, Unga Feeds Limited, was established in 1981 to manage this rapidly expanding business which was in turn merged with Unga Farm Care (EA) Limited in 2004. Unga Farm Care (E.A.) Limited, whose marketing tag line is Alama ya Ubora, is the regions’ largest animal feed manufacture, primarily producing a broad range of quality feed products.

Unga Farm Care (EA) Limited is the region’s leading manufacturer and marketer of a broad portfolio of quality Animal Nutrition and Health products.

This portfolio includes livestock feeds, cattle minerals, feed premixes, customer specific formulations, feed concentrates, acaricides, dewormers, vaccines, antibiotics and analytical services.

We strive to achieve world class standards in the quality and safety of our brands. That is why we are proud to be ISO 22000:2005 certified. We ensure that controls are in place from sourcing of raw materials and packaging materials, in the manufacturing processes and distribution of our products.

Our central laboratory is also ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited; demonstrating the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. It covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods, and laboratory-developed methods.

Unga Farm Care (EA) Limited manufactures specialty processed chicken feeds for Kenchick Limited who is the leading supplier of chicken to international food service franchises like Galitos, Steers, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) along with leading hotels, caterers, fast food restaurants countrywide.
