GUGUSATE is a non-selective herbicide for the control of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaved weeds in maize. Care should be taken so as to avoid contact with the crop. GUGUSATE is a systemic herbicide, absorbed by foliage and green stems with rapid translocation throughout the plant above and below the soil. It acts by inhibiting biosynthesis of the essential aromatic amino acids needed for protein synthesis. GUGUSATE is inactivated on contact with soil.
