MODE OF ACTION
- Diuron is a systemic substituted phenyl urea herbicide which functions by inhibiting the Hill reaction in photosynthesis, limiting the production of high-energy compounds such as adenosine triphosphate (ATP) used for various metabolic processes.
- Hexazinone is a systemic herbicide that inhibits photosynthesis in susceptible plants, diverting highly reactive molecules into a chain reaction that destroys chloroplast and cell membranes, and other vital compounds.
APPLICATION RATES

APPLICATION TIMING: Apply DEACON® 600WDG before the weeds emerge (pre-emergence) or at 3-5 leaves stage (post-emergence).
APPLICATION TECHNIQUE: Apply DEACON® 600WDG by spraying directly onto weeds using at least 400 litres of water per hectare. Soil should be moist at time of application and be free from trash.
USE RESTRICTIONS: DO NOT spray DEACON® 600WDG over sugarcane or allow excessive spray contact as crop injury may result. Do not use in young plant cane and in waterlogged areas.
PREPARATION OF SPRAY MIXTURE: Fill spray tank with half the amount of required water. Add required amount of DEACON® 600WDG and fill the water to the required level. Agitate to ensure thorough mixing and use the spray mixture on the same day of preparation.
COMPATIBILITY: DO NOT use DEACON® 600WDG in a mixture with any other chemical remedy if the effect of the mixture has not been confirmed on sugarcane or the specific target area.
RE-ENTRY PERIOD: DO NOT enter treated areas until spray deposits are completely dry. If entry is necessary, protective clothing should be worn.
